Obituary of Clair Nell Criswell

Celebration of Life services for Clair Nell Sexton Criswell, will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2013, in the sanctuary of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, DeRidder, LA, with Bro. Danny Wilson and John Sandlin officiating. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Pleasant Hill Cemetery, DeRidder, LA. The family would like to welcome guests to gather in memory of Mrs. Clair Tuesday, June 25, 2013, from the hours of 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home, DeRidder, LA. Clair Sexton Criswell was born August 29, 1925, in DeRidder, LA, to the late P.R. and Eunice M. Mills Sexton and our Lord called her home June, 23, 2013, in DeRidder, LA. She was married to Bill Criswell and lived a full and blessed life here for 87 years. She loved her Lord, children, grand and great-grandchildren and we were blessed to have her in our lives. Her wisdom and guidance will live on forever. Mrs. Clair was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers: Mills and Ronald B. Sexton and one sister; Elaine Sexton Lewis. Left to cherish the fond memories of Clair will be her three children: Suzette Minga and (Roy) of Gloster , MS, Billie Cooley and (Ronnie) of DeRidder, LA, and Gary W. Criswell and (Alice) of Lake Charles, LA, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren along with many extended family member and numerous great friends.
