Obituary of Jacqueline Burrow

Celebration of Life services for Jacqueline Bailey Burrow, 86, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 2, 2013, in the chapel of Hixson Funeral Home, DeRidder, LA, with Reverends: Lloyd Carroll, Wade Carroll and Charlie Carroll officiating. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Rosepine Cemetery under the care of Hixson Funeral Home. The family will be receiving guests for visitation Sunday, September 1, 2013, from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Hixson, DeRidder. Jacqueline was born December 9, 1926, in Kipling, LA, to the late Ab and Martha E. Henderson Bailey and was called to her Heavenly home August 29, 2013, in DeRidder, LA. As a child Jacqueline was raised in the Hopewell Baptist Community and attended school in Dry Creek. Upon marriage to Earnest Dean Burrow she moved to Rosepine and later, Moss Bluff to continue raising her family in 1954. The Burrow's would retire five miles west of Rosepine in the late 70's settling down in a place where she could enjoy her gardening, cooking and being outdoors. Jacqueline always loved tending to her roses, fruits and vegetables. She will be remembered as a very strong, caring, admirable woman that loved catering to her family. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years; three children: LeWanda Hynes, Elaine Lyons, and Delwin Burrow; her parents and five siblings. Left to cherish Jacqueline's precious memory will be her three children: Janice Broussard and husband Mike of Longville, LA, Lavon Duplechin and husband Harrol of Rosepine, LA, and Debra O'Neal and husband Glen of Ragley,LA; twelve grandchildren: Tony Hynes, Melinda Matt, Nicholas Hynes, Morris Duplechin, Callie Robertson, Cory Duplechin, Chad Lyons, Jeffrey Broussard, Stacey Broussard, Delwin Boudreaux, Sunni Blanchard, and Justin O'Neal, seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild along with numerous family members and many wonderful friends.
